Tony Orrico and photographer Michael Hart have been documenting Penwald Drawings collaboratively since Orrico’s 2010 appearance at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. Together, they have developed a catalog of photography that stands in concert with Orrico’s meditative and exhaustive anthropometric performance drawings.
Here are two limited edition prints personally selected from the catalog by Orrico and Hart.
Tony Orrico, 8 circles, photographed at the National Academy of Sciences, captures beautifully the spatial breadth and balance of Orrico’s realized performance score.
Tony Orrico, unison symmetry standing, performed and photographed at Dance Theater Workshop in New York City, offers a uniquely intimate view into the process and presence of the artist at work.
Produced exclusively by Brooklyn-based Pochron Studios, each large-scale print will be autographed by Orrico and printed on museum-quality photo paper.
